Sailing in the Cyclades
The Cyclades offer more open and varied sailing, in the heart of the Aegean Sea.
Between inhabited islands, white villages and isolated coves, this cruise is for those who love the sea, movement and diverse landscapes.
A vibrant journey, punctuated by stops with distinct characters, where each island possesses its own identity.
Sailing in the Cyclades means accepting a more present sea and very different atmospheres from one island to another.
Kea and Kythnos lead the way with their inviting bays and mineral landscapes, while Syros and Tinos blend culture, lively ports, and hilltop villages.
Andros, greener and wilder, often marks a transition to more maritime navigation.
One Private yacht cruise, rhythm by the wind, light, and the unique character of each stop.
Here, priority is given to the rhythm of the sea, to sailing, and to natural anchorages, rather than to multiplying stops or the comfort of port facilities.
The boat, autonomous and respectful of its environment, allows you to navigate the Cyclades without relying on marinas or heavy infrastructure.

The main Cycladic islands accessible by sailing boat
Kea

The first island of the Cyclades, Kea offers accessible anchorages, understated landscapes and a gradual entry into the Aegean Sea
Its proximity to the mainland often makes it the first stop on a sailing cruise. The island allows you to gradually get into the rhythm of sailing before venturing further south into the Cyclades, where crossings can become more challenging.
Kéa alternates between small coves, arid hills, and traditional villages. Its character remains more understated than that of very famous islands like Mykonos or Santorini, making it a popular stop for many boaters looking for a more peaceful atmosphere.
Kythnos
A discreet island with well-defined bays, Kythnos is ideal for a break combining sailing, swimming and peaceful nights at anchor.
Its numerous coves offer welcome shelter depending on the weather conditions, making it a regular stop for yachtsmen sailing between Athens and the central Cyclades. The island is also known for its mineral landscapes, its small traditional villages, and its much more peaceful atmosphere than that of the more frequented islands.
Kythnos perfectly illustrates what many seek on a sailing cruise: taking the time to enjoy a bay, swimming in clear water, and discovering an island that has remained true to its identity.

Syros

ÎA lively and elegant island, Syros combines a real port, a strong identity, and a cultural stopover in the heart of the Cyclades.
The administrative capital of the archipelago, Ermoupoli surprises with its neoclassical architecture, lively squares, and maritime history. The atmosphere there is very different from the white villages often associated with the Cyclades.
For a cruising boat, Syros also constitutes a practical stopover, a pleasant place to find a lively town before setting sail again towards wilder anchorages.
Tinos
More raw and authentic, Tinos reveals a mineral Greece, unspoiled villages and an atmosphere far from tourist clichés.
The island is renowned for its many traditional villages, stone dovecotes, marble craftsmanship, and landscapes shaped by the winds. It has a distinct character that appeals to travellers seeking a more discreet Greece.
When sailing, Tinos often demands that you contend with the sailing conditions, but in return, it offers an authentic stopover, where exploring the villages perfectly complements the pleasure of sailing.

Andros
Greener and more maritime, Andros marks the transition between the Cyclades and Euboea, with open anchorages and a very distinct character.
Unlike the common image of the Cyclades, Andros boasts more abundant vegetation, valleys, springs, and numerous hiking trails. Its terrain and exposure to the winds give it a very distinctive character.
For navigators, Andros often represents a pivotal point between different sailing areas of the Aegean Sea, offering an atmosphere noticeably different to that of the other islands in the archipelago.

The boat is steered by its Independent skipper, engaged in the maintenance and technical preparation of the yacht, which in reassure personally the tracking and navigation.
This attention to the boat and its preparation is what allows for smooth, quiet and relaxed sailing, and makes all the difference on board.
