A solid frame, simply done
I look after your comfort, navigation, moorings and technical decisions.
I'm familiar with these areas.
I've been navigating there for a long time.
The onboard technology and safety are expertly handled, without being in your face all the time.
You are free to live the week as you see fit, safe in the knowledge that everything is taken care of.
This discreet presence changes a lot of things. A sailboat of this size suggests real experience.
You're enjoying the sea... and sometimes a barbecue at anchor.
Light days
In the morning, we make the most of the anchorage.
Some go out on paddleboards in pairs or fours.
Others follow in canoes or simply prefer to enjoy the sunshine.
We're sailing along nicely, ideally under sail.
We'll talk.
We watch the coast go by.
No one is obliged to manoeuvre.
If the urge arises, why not.
Otherwise, we just enjoy the moment.
At anchor, the dinghy to the beach or the small village allows you to find a little life ashore.
Coffee break.
Ice on the harbour.
We experience layovers differently.
We take our time to wander down the alleyways, to look at the shop windows, and to choose a tavern.
A simple freedom
On board, there is no outside perspective. A large sun deck allows you to relax in the sun.
Settle in how you like.
We laugh heartily if we feel like it.
It’s often just a small thing, but it makes a big difference to how you get through the week.
Nothing excessive.
Just calm.
The evening
The boat settles into the calm of the anchorage.
We take our time after a shower, protected from view, both outside and in the cubicle.
We're going to sit outside.
Shall we go out for dinner, or shall we put the world to rights under the stars, in the cockpit?.
There's a special energy when a group of women arrives together in a village.
No obligation.
No role to play.
Just a side note.
A week that passes quickly
The days follow a gentle rhythm.
A different cove.
A new village.
A changing light.
And then, without really realising it, the week is already coming to an end.
Often, we find ourselves talking about the following year.
