Sailing cruise in the Gulf of Euboea
The Gulf of Euboea is a destination that appeals to those who enjoy sailing. The wind is often present, especially in summer, and certain areas can be demanding when the meltemi wind sets in. However, the variety of coastlines and stopping points allows for the creation of very different itineraries, ranging from wild anchorages to small, more sheltered bays, depending on the prevailing conditions.
A Greek cruise off the beaten track
Every day, a new stopover: uninhabited islets with turquoise waters, clear sandy beaches, charming small fishing ports and Greek villages where time seems to have stood still.
Anchorages, far from marinas, and the dinghy allowing easy access to beaches, tavernas and villages.
The distances are deliberately short, to prioritise relaxation, swimming and discovery.
An ideal cruise for those seeking beauty, tranquility, and authenticity, far from the summer crowds.
Here, priority is given to the rhythm of the sea, to sailing, and to natural anchorages, rather than to multiplying stops or the comfort of port facilities.
True to the Najida spirit, this cruise takes place on board’a sailboat designed for responsible sailing, minimising engine use and impact on visited sites.

A few stops during the stay
The Petalioi Islands, the «little Greek Seychelles»

Located off the east coast of Euboea, the Petalioi archipelago is one of the most beautiful anchorages in the region. The waters are exceptionally clear and the numerous small bays invite you to swim, paddleboard or snorkel in a pristine environment.
Rarely visited, these islands offer a rare sense of isolation. You often spend the night at anchor, in almost absolute calm, far from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas.

Koroni Island
Just a few miles from the Petalioi, Koroni is one of those anchorages you love to linger in. The bay is bordered by clear water with turquoise hues, ideal for swimming, paddleboarding, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet.
Sheltered from view, this anchorage offers a true haven of tranquility. Evenings are particularly pleasant, with the setting sun and meals taken on board setting the pace.

Mourteri, simple and authentic Greece
A small coastal village on Euboea, Mourteri charms with its peaceful atmosphere and its long beach open to the Aegean Sea. The seaside tavernas allow you to sample fish and Greek specialities in a simple and warm setting.
It's an ideal stopover to enjoy a day of swimming before settling into the calm of an anchorage for the night.

Secluded anchorages to discover
Beyond the more well-known stops, the Gulf of Euboea hides numerous small bays where it's possible to spend the night away from any hustle and bustle. Some don't appear in any tourist guides and can only truly be discovered by sailing.
These anchorages offer clear waters, absolute calm, and that rare feeling of having a corner of Greece almost to yourself. It is often these discreet stops that remain the best memories of a cruise.
Karystos, between mountain and sea
At the southern tip of Euboea, Karystos is a lively port that's a pleasant place to stop. The waterfront terraces, tavernas, and shops offer the chance to enjoy an evening ashore before resuming your voyage.
Dominated by the Ochi mountains, the town also makes an excellent starting point for discovering another facet of the island, one that is more authentic and wild.

A stopover to savour the Greek summer

Facing Karystos, a small bay offers a pleasant stop after a day's sailing. You can drop anchor in clear water before going ashore by dinghy.
A few steps are all it takes to settle onto the terrace of a bar overlooking the sea, to enjoy an iced coffee during the day or a mojito at sunset. A simple, friendly stopover that perfectly sums up the Greek holiday lifestyle.
Lefkandi, feet in the sand
Lefkandi is a welcoming stopover where you can take your time to have lunch with a sea view. The tavernas situated directly on the beach allow you to enjoy simple and generous Greek cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.
After the meal, everyone easily finds their way back to the boat for a swim or a short sail to the next anchorage.

Authentic navigation away from mass tourism
Far from the most beaten tracks, the Gulf of Euboea offers a chance to discover a more discreet Greece, where villages still live to the rhythm of the locals and fishermen. The anchorages are often calm and one can fully enjoy the sailing, swimming, and evenings at anchor.
An ideal destination for sailing lovers
The Gulf of Euboea appeals to crews who wish to experience a true sailing cruise. The wind is often present there in the summer and makes sailing particularly pleasant when conditions are favourable. Each itinerary is built according to the weather to prioritise safety, crew comfort, and the pleasure of sailing.
